Home again, home again...

For all of those of you who have been faithfully praying for my visa situation: I did get my visa from the Chicago consulate. PTL. I'm actually back in Ukraine now and beginning to unpack, settle in, and gear up for work which starts on Monday. I think it will be a busy couple of weeks to get everyone started up again and things organized for this year. So I would appreciate your prayers for that. As I get back into the swing of things I expect to blog a little more and I'll try to post some pictures from my time in the States. It was a really beautiful time. Makes me how much I miss my brothers.
Thanks for you prayers for the visa situation and sorry for the delay in updates. I'll be doing better again now that I am home!

Visa Update

Just and FYI so you can pray better informed.
I sent off my visa application today, again. To Chicago this time. Unfortunately, it is only due back here the same day I leave... So please pray that it comes back a day early. And that I get the visa, of course. My other options are to change my flight, which will probably cost a lot of money, or to go back without a visa (although I would still need to get my passport back in order to go back at all). If I go back without a visa I can stay in the country from 90 to 180 days (there is some confusion on what is actually allowable) before I would need to leave to get a new visa again.

Needless to say, this is rather stressful, esp. since I am supposed to be on vacation and have spent a good portion of the last two weeks taking care of shopping and errands so that I could have this last week just to relax.
I'm not worried. Just very frustrated and a little uncertain about what the financial outcome will be. In the end it is still God's money and I am still just His servant, so He can use me to serve here or anywhere and if He wants me there it is His business to see that I get there.

Visa Problems

So, I applied for my new visa the day after I arrived here, and today I got it back with a letter explaining that I didn't have one of the documents I needed. ... Except I did. It was all there. FYI if you ever go to apply for a Ukrainian visa, the San Francisco consulate is highly incompetent. And there is also no hope of getting ahold of them by phone. The Chicago consulate is much better so far.
I am going to send my application off there asap, please pray that it is processed otherwise I only have 90 days to be in Ukraine without a visa which just means a lot of hassle and expense which I don't need right now.
So please pray that I am able to get the visa without a problem.
Thanks.
