Happy Women's Day! I'll share my flowers with you:
Okay, so I just enjoyed taking the pictures and wanted to share them. :P But really Women's Day is a big deal here. It's a government holiday, so even though it was on Saturday, Monday was off. And on Friday we gave all the women in the office a box of chocolates. Flowers are customary, but as long as you give some little gift you are okay. And flowers are getting expensive.In one sense Women's Day is the communist Mother's Day, but don't tell anyone I said that. :) We have also begun celebrating Mother's Day here in the last few years, but we don't get a day off for that. The primary difference between the two is that on Women's Day all women are given flowers, not just mums. It's interesting and kind of fun and of course I enjoy the flowers! :)
Hi there Es, Happy women's day to you to. Yes, Cheryl and i are going to Lyena's wedding. We are leaving here early as we're going to the doctor first. Dan and Pris are also going. It would be great to see you. We are leaving for Australia on April 10th and we're not sure for how long - maybe up till 2 years
