Mum's Birthday

It was mum's 60th birthday, well, I guess it is today, but we celebrated over the weekend. We had a little party on Saturday and then on Sunday we did a family party. Pris and the kids had come earlier in the week and Dan came over on Saturday. Here's a couple of pics of mum and her cake. Dad made the cake(s). Well, he iced them at least. They are all different states/provinces/countries that we have lived in. Each one has something significant from that time period of mum's life and each one represent roughly ten years of her life. It was a special and fun cake. Different from anything that he has done before.

    Very creative. Are they all the same flavor? I miss making cakes just any time. Come on over Esther!

    No they were three different flavors, but two came out of packages. :) There was white and yellow and then a homemade chocolate one. But it didn't turn out as moist as I had hoped...:(
